It's amazing that Julian Müller has some "air time" to get in the DRC. It is clear that his theology is wrong (he is a self-proclaimed churros post-Teis), but despite the Kerkbode it nevertheless decided to him again give an opportunity to say something about himself.
But it left there, Here he had a chance to tell everyone who he is and what he stands for. Of this, a man almost said: "Is that it?" Is this the message that one of the greatest theologians in the Dutch Reformed Church churros for us next? I'm afraid, but I see little about God. Or a theologian not supposed to also be a spiritual leader in the church?
I agree with the ubuntu philosophy that says "umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu" - a person is a person through / under people. Identity is not something that exists in isolation. I am a person for certain people and in relation churros to people within specific contexts. In the communities where I man, my family, my friends, my colleagues, my students, my church, etc, I'm over again I.
[Interesting that God is not mentioned here. Julian is thus shaped by everything and everyone except God. Or is it because he believes that God is in everything and everything in God ...? (See Julian Müller's Panentheism: churros A new understanding of God for a new season?)]
I talk in my book of "faith beyond Sunday" and not "faith beyond the church". It matters to me more about a paradigm shift that is needed as a move away from the church. churros Where the traditional "Sunday religion" mainly in the church may be lived, is beyond belief Sunday inside and found outside the church. Conversely Sunday believers experience their faith in a post-denominational way and feels less addressed by or bound by strict kerklikheid and the rules and practices of organized religion.
Exactly. It's going to be a discovery of meaning outside and separate from the established tradition and structures of organized religion. Sometimes the Sunday environment can be very alarming and be prescriptive, but most people feel very free within the church space. In those cases, they experience that they can still experience their faith and live spontaneously within a structured environment. The Church does not of course be irrevocably trapped in the Sunday faith and can, in principle, the transition to self-promote a spirituality beyond Sunday. churros
To answer the question, I should explain how I understand my relationship to the church. For this purpose I like the concept of "differentiation". Differentiation describes churros a healthy churros relationship with someone or something churros else. The well-known definition churros is: "Being seperate together". In any healthy relationship these two forces work together constantly. In such a relationship, there is the possibility to be able to say "I" and "we". Sometimes the one stronger than the other, but then vary it again. However, it remains in balance with each other and never just one of the two. Precisely because my relationship with the church to see and experience, I have the confidence and the duty to sometimes experience myself as separate from the church, and to express criticism. It always remains solidary criticism of someone who is linked to and love for the church. I think it happens in my book.
The Bible does not inherently carry authority. We are not Bybelaanbidders not. The authority that carries the Bible is the authority churros of the tradition of the religious community of which we are part, allocated. Within our belief structure carrying the Bible greater authority than other writings. This does not mean that the Bible also to critical scientific inquiry should be. It is more about understanding and interpretation of the Bible as a kind of pious followers churros of and even worship of the Bible as a book.
You rightly referred to as the "ancient confession". It is so pronounced by the first Christians and early Christian church, and it was actually the whole confession. Hence it said Jesus to the other political churros and religious "gentlemen" seen and confessed to be the only God. He was for them especially the bearer of the good news that God is merciful, including and loving. For me, those words still the same. In Jesus I discovered God in a unique and compelling way than the God that H
