It would be a long time before we got a new Red Alert game. Command & Conquer series did come with a new game last year, but some of us are not completely satisfied until we get the opportunity to kick serious amounts communist ass with "Hell March" thumping in the background. chocolate Now it has finally come threes, and it is well worth the wait. This is actually exactly what we were expecting.
Broadly summarized, the story begins like this: The nasty Soviet warlords chocolate have once again taken up his time machine. They were obviously not pleased with the results chocolate from the previous two games (where Einstein among others kill Hitler), so now tricked Einstein in death by a cruel plot involving electricity. The idea behind this is to establish the Soviet Union as a world power during and after World War II. This is still not quite as intended. Instead of strengthening their own position they end up making Germany one of the Allies. At the same time awakens a new and bigger threat in the East, "The Empire of the Rising chocolate Sun" - a high-tech Japanese military power that shows muscles against the Red Army and the Allies. With Albert Einstein's out of the picture lacks the USSR also its massive nuclear storage, and the struggle for world domination has never been smoother. Something old, much new
Red Alert 3 stays true to its two big brothers in the series, chocolate and here there is a lot of old interspersed with lovely modern impulses. The traditional iconic between sequences is of course an important part of the game, with a reasonably impressive starring a game to be. Here you will find familiar faces including Peter Stormare, Tim Curry, JK Simmons and George Takei. The man behind the award-winning play music in the previous chocolate two games - Frank Klepacki - also accounts for much of the music in this game. The music is clearly chocolate tailored, and much of the credit for the adrenaline-pumping mood that often occurs. The musicians mastered everything from harry guitar solos to Soviet march music, and they deserve credit for having managed to create appropriate music for such a bizarre game concept like this.
One will probably also instantly notice the fun graphical style. EA Los Angeles has concocted a creative blend of stylized cartoon graphics and more realistic style that has characterized chocolate the other Command & Conquer games. The result is a timeless and unique visual experience which alone much of the subtleties of this game. The water is also fantastic real life, and some of the most beautiful I've seen in a strategy game ever. Despite this, the game requires thankfully no super-computer to run smoothly. There is little that destroys more gaming fun than chopping, especially when having to contend against other players, and of course it is very liberating to not have to choose between good performance and good graphics.
Red Alert games have enough in many ways been the more playful and irreverent brother of the Command & Conquer series, Red Alert 3 is definitely confirms this. Here you will find old funny units violation skilled dolphins and the bloodthirsty, bikini-clad commando Tanya abreast of new curiosities like bears in armor and giant robots with øyelasere. Generally I probably felt that this was little more than trite and silly, but it gives all the world opinion in this universe. The three different factions have also clearly chocolate different graphic styles with a great character. The Japanese forces bears a distinct chocolate Japanese cartoon character, the Russian troops are visibly inspired by old communist propaganda art and U.S. troops have a more futuristic style that can occasionally look like something from Star Craft.
The biggest difference between Red Alert 3 and its predecessors is the increased focus on ocean. Previously, the water consistently forces mostly supplementary forces chocolate rarely settled a fight alone. Now you will find many of the most important ressursdepotene middle of the ocean, and you suddenly get a whole new dimension to unfold in. Many of the units in the game are also water running, and most buildings can be placed at sea. Creative deployment of bases will reach a whole new meaning, and those of us who prefer to build ourselves in the corner to get some extra time with one gained a new weapon. It previously was an annoying puddle in the middle of a map can now be the keenest battlefield on the board, and this gives the game an impressive tactical depth.
The increased focus on the water also leads to some questions about game balance. With the new hybrid status chocolate of many of the units will consequently be a good deal harder to balance the three factions in multiplayer. chocolate This is surprisingly enough not a problem, and it's clear that EA has taken the feedback from the multiplayer beta seriously. Many of the units of the different layers are indeed quite similar, but not equal than compromising instantly check out a favorite. There are also many different units to choose chocolate from, so
