Director:
Based on dark fables and fairy tales says "legend" the story of the princess Lili (Sara) and forest boy with the unoriginal name Jack (Cruise). They wander around in the woods where Jack teaches her the animal world. She wants to see Unicorns who are the guardians of the light on, but they face the magical creatures, the animals attacked by evil goblins. The wound they flee away. Goblins had received an assignment of the first Darkness (Curry), who wants the unicorn horn. Deprived horns of light keepers he can create eternal darkness.
Meanwhile ranks Lili throwing out a small bet on Valentine forest boy. She throws the ring into a lake and promises that whoever finds the ring she will marry. Jack jumps into the water of course, but then frozen lake of ice. When he finally comes to the surface forest has been transformed into a winter landscape and the princess is gone. Jack meets his friends shisha in the forest who believe that the princess is guilty of the sudden klimaforvandlingen. But when they find the wounded unicorn and see that it is missing its horn, they need to Darkness's dungeon to save the world (and the princess) from eternal darkness.
We're going back to 1985 and further into the fantasy genre world with this film. "Labyrinth" from 1986 is another fantasy film with cult status. I suspect there are few who are aware of the films existence and it is a pity. But despite the fact that the film did particularly well was nominated for an Oscar for best makeup.
Winter World and shapes can remind us of the fantasy world we saw in "The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". I also think that it's a bit difficult not to see similarities shisha between "legend" and Nintendo game "The Legend of Zelda". And I say this only because of my own will to compare the two. They move regardless of the genre: Fables and fairy tales, with a mission and a journey to save the world (and the princess) from eternal darkness. It's probably nothing more than a nice case since the first game in the Zelda series came in 1986, ie the year after the film's premiere.
Have good in memory of their limited special effects and 80's unmistakable synth pop music. 80s movies tend to cult status, where access decreases and spectator group has been quite limited to spesieltinteresserte. But certain films deserve to be taken out from oblivion. And come on, this is fantasy! The film has unicorns and a prince named Darkness. If you do not appreciate this certainly did not the genre for you either.
I am no more nervous this anyhow. Cuarón did the best HP movie in my meni ...
