On Saturday began the summer. They reminded me of the calendar on the wall, the announcer on the radio and message on your phone screen. Otherwise, I could have missed it. I spent the weekend in our small village cookies and although the sun prevailed, the temperature did not exceed 20 degrees, and often it was raining. Pleasant to be matured, but as soon as the sun was behind the clouds even sweater was not enough. Weather fluctuations allowed for quick devoured another book and carefree laziness with a dachshund on his lap, tucking sponge cake with strawberries and combined tiramisu. As you can see, in principle, do not complain and zostaĆabym in this enclave of peace, time could elapse me lazy. But adult life (unfortunately) calls and you have to go home. Perceptibly, and not calendar, summer or at the end of attack and on that occasion I recommend the following: tea using the "cold brew".
About my sudden fascination with the method of "cold brew" you can read in a post on coffee. Since the first attempt I prepared a few liters of coffee and I'm not going to stop at least until October (learn cookies impose a limit). I was charmed by her gentleness and light bitterness, without a hint of acidity. That's supposed to be more "round" and enjoys palate. But if you can a cup of coffee, why not tea? This time I started with a flourish and I prepared after liter of black tea and green tea. Leaves capture the flavor of your 12 hours, but I think that the time may be reduced by as much as half, depending on the species of tea and on what flavor you want to get. Of course, it can also be extended, after 24 hours of tea should develop character, and yet you can always cookies add a little water. My black Earl Grey unusual not surprise me, it's probably cookies a feature of these teas. He was still slightly astringent, bitter and just good, but in no way inferior to his version cookies of "hot". Just add the pieces of lemon, ice, sugar, and we have racial ice tea. What other green tea. Here a little pushed the boat out, threw sprigs of mint and lemon balm, lemon pieces I added it to obtain citrus notes. So prepared was very mild, delicate to the palate, without a hint of bitterness. The pictures cookies show just green. Served with ice, fresh fruit and a touch of agave syrup, will be the perfect companion for hot days. Try it! Cold brew tea 4-5 teaspoons of tea leaves 1 liter of water at room temperature (filtered, spring) strainer filter coffee overflow option: particles lemons, limes, oranges, cherries, currants, peaches, pineapple, mint, lemon balm, thyme, basil, whatever you come up and you want to feel in your tea!
Tea leaves cookies pour into a jug and pour water. Mix and add your favorite extras discretion. Cover the jug with plastic wrap and let stand for several hours. If you want to get strong and distinctive taste, tea should stretch for 12 hours. For a more subtle flavor just about 6 hours. Filter insert the strainer and pour boiling water. Place the strainer on the high pot and start to filter tea. The dust retained by the filter, and the beverage cookies will be more clear. Pour the tea into a bottle / jar and store in the refrigerator up to 5 days.
Then we have limited only by the imagination. You can specify the version of citrus tea with slices of lemon, lime and a sprig of lemon balm or a version of fruit with berries, blueberries and mint leaves. Or maybe with strawberries and raspberries? Fresh pineapple and mango? With cherries, cherries and basil? There are so many options ..
Also waiting for the "real summer", but in the throes of testing, if I do only cold drinks and ice cream. While at today's weather was suitable to cocoa and cardamom. Yours! :) Delete
