This savory rice dish is called a jambalaya. There are many recipes for jambalaya, but here is a suggestion for a good variant. I made it a Friday night when my sister came to visit to Friday fun, and it was a hit!
Steps:
Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken and chorizo sausage, season with salt and pepper. Remove the meat from the pot. Fry now pepper moisture, onions, garlic, jalapenos and spices. Add the rice and tomatoes as well as most of the broth. Let the rice cook approx. 35 minutes (the whole grain) and add the chicken and chorizo sausage. Let simmer for rice is cooked finished and add if necessary. more broth underway.
